Mr. Darcy's Bite (Darcy Bites #1) by Mary Lydon Simonsen (Goodreads Author) avg rating — ratings — published — 7 editions.  · Review originally posted on Diary of an Eccentric Mr. Darcy’s Bite is Mary Lydon Simonsen’s latest take on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, and I must admit that it’s one of the best Austenesque novels I’ve read so far (and regular readers of my blog know that I read a lot of them)/5(71). In Mr. Darcy's Bite, Mary Lydon Simonsen has succeeded in crafting a story true to Regency sensibilities within the framework of an almost done-to-death paranormal motif. October of marked my introduction to Mr. Darcy's Bite by Mary Lydon Simonsen. I remember being so impressed by Simonsen's ability to stay true to Austen's characters even after changing one of them into a werewolf! I also remember writing Mary an email after finishing the novel begging her to write more of this particular story. I remember very little of any of it! Darcy's werewolf nature gives him the excuse to be the ultimate sexual alpha male, but in a protective vs. predatory nature. The man may have courted and win Elizabeth, but that doesn't mean the wolf has. Mr. Darcy's Bite is a love story of animal magnetism!

Mr. Darcy’s Bite by Mary Lydon Simonsen October 4, by Serena With Halloween and all of the blog-related events — RIP, All Hallow’s Eve, Frightful Fall Read-a-Thon, and Halloween Hootenanny — I’ve selected a few fun horror/spooky reads for October. This novella is a sequel to Simonsen's terrific novel, 'Mr. Darcy's Bite,' which chronicles Elizabeth's acceptance of Darcy's lupine nature. Here, the author capitalizes on her knowledge of history, to flesh out a secret society.
